After the encore, the house LIGHTS come up, he WAVES, he BOWS, followed by a THUNDER of applause. This is the "study" of the triptych that traveled the world.
Peckham based this piece from the poem”American David” by Bono. Using the colors of red, white, and blue and the jailhouse rock dance theme, Elvis was uniquely American and somewhat of an outlaw to what the accepted social norms were in those days.

Collectors items. 1 ¾”x 1” Initially created for The Elvis & Marilyn: 2X Immortal exhibit. 2 editions produced; first an edition of 500 with the artist's name misspelled, 2nd edition of 2000 with the artist’s name correctly spelled.
After the exhibit closed, Peckham received the remaining unsold lapel pins. Peckham went on to trade the ‘king pins' for Olympic sponsored pins at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, Georgia. In 1998, the remaining pins were dispensed throughout London and in the U.K. by Hayvend machines. Only 5 remain available.
